i've done it for the past year, and i don't regret a minute of it. but you should keep in mind that it will probably end eventually. my gf and i are ending things somewhat soon, because of the distance. i don't think long distance is impossible, i don't think its stupid. but its not a good thing to do forever. relationships are about really being with someone, sharing your life and experiences with one another. but even if you have perfect communication, you're not really with them when they are hundreds of miles away. i would say go for it if you want, it can be absolutely wonderful- mine has been! but know that it is something of a ticking clock.
We have been in a long distance relationship for some time now and every day is special when we see each other on web cam and talk about what has happened in the last 24hrs. We have travelled to each others homes during the last year for about 3 weeks each and we are looking forward to being together in our own home soon. I'm sorry to say long distance relationships are hard to manage. I suggest you hook up a web cam and hang out with your boyfriend through that, it might feel better than just emails. Unless the distance is only temporary you should move on to someone else
I am in one now, for just over 2 years.


It is difficult, but not impossible. Takes commitment on both to make it work.
