I have to be honest with you. I can't understand how two people can be in a relationship with a child and live so far apart. I am able to understand how you can still have feelings for each other but I would not call what you have any type of ';relationship'; other than friends. If he moved for his job why didn't you go with him and if you have an 8 year old child together why didn't you ever get married? Sounds like you should move on.
